About Us

SPEAC formed in 1989 with one simple mission: to help alleviate hunger in Southern Platte County, Missouri. The partnership developed with several local churches and the United Services Community Action Agency. Supported by local congregations, the faith community, and civic organizations SPEAC is an independent 501(c)3 organization.

SPEAC is staffed by volunteers and its Board of Directors serves without compensation.
